Parent Weekly Digest — your child's learning week, in one email
A once-a-week summary of what your child worked on, what they made progress on, and one short conversation prompt you can use at the dinner table. Always opt-in. Never used for advertising. Never sold to anyone.
What's in each digest
1. This week at a glance
Hours engaged, subjects covered, number of artefacts produced. Compared to the previous week so families can see momentum.
2. Progress highlights
Two or three concrete progress notes — 'demonstrated multi-step word-problem strategy', 'wrote a 4-paragraph persuasive essay'. Tied to the standards covered, never to behavioural or inferred-personality data.
3. Sample artefact
One representative lesson, worksheet, or rubric your child engaged with this week — clickable to view in the platform.
4. Family conversation prompt
One short, offline conversation prompt parents can use at the dinner table to extend the week's learning. Always optional, always 10 minutes or less.
5. Settings & unsubscribe
One-tap unsubscribe, frequency change (weekly / fortnightly / monthly / off), language preference, and a link to update which child the digest covers.
Frequently asked questions
Who can receive the weekly digest?
Any iTeachWise account holder can opt in for themselves: parents and homeschool families track their own child, teachers can receive a summary of their own use, and parents-of-students can request a digest from their child's teacher (subject to the teacher's approval and your school's communication policy).
How often does the digest send?
Once per week, on Sunday evening US-time by default. Account holders can switch to Saturday morning, fortnightly, or monthly in account notification settings. The digest is always opt-in and never enabled by default.
What's in the digest?
Five sections: (1) what your child worked on this week — subjects, hours, pieces produced; (2) progress highlights — skills demonstrated, standards covered, improvements; (3) a sample artefact — one lesson, worksheet, or rubric the child engaged with; (4) suggested family activity — one offline 10-minute conversation prompt to extend the week's learning; (5) one-tap unsubscribe and preference link.
Does the digest contain any student PII the parent didn't already have?
No. The digest contains only data about your own child that the account holder already has access to inside the platform. iTeachWise does not introduce new identifiers, behavioural inferences, or third-party data into the digest.
Can a school district disable parent digests for compliance reasons?
Yes. Districts on School and District plans can disable the digest org-wide via the admin console (or by request to district-compliance@iteachwise.com). When disabled, the opt-in toggle is hidden from teacher accounts under that district.
Is the digest available in languages other than English?
Yes. The digest is translated into Spanish, French, and Simplified Chinese — matched to the account's UI language setting at send time. Additional languages can be requested via support.
